1

Read the text to learn different ways to talk about the future.

We often talk about the future in English. There are different ways to do this. One common way is to use the "will" form. For example, "I will go to the store tomorrow." We use "will" for decisions made at the moment of speaking and for predictions or promises. Another way to talk about the future is using "going to." For example, "I am going to visit my friend next week." We use "going to" when we have already decided to do something or for plans and intentions. There is also the present continuous tense. This is for plans and arrangements, like saying, "I am meeting my friend at 5 PM." This shows something that is scheduled.
