Read the text to learn how to use the present continuous.

The present continuous tense helps us talk about things happening now. For example, right now, you are reading this text, so you can say "I am reading a text." This is how we create the Present Continuous: I am (verb+ing) for I He/She/It is (verb+ing) for he/she/it You/We/They are (verb+ing) for you/we/they Let's look at some examples. Right now, Josh is waking up. He is thinking about his day. His brother is sitting in the garden. His friends are watching TV. There are negatives too. When something is not happening, we use "not." For example, John is not thinking about his day, his brother is not sitting in the garden, he is going to work. We can ask questions with the present continuous too. We change the order of the words. Start with the correct "to be" verb. For example, "Are you reading a book?" or "Is he eating dinner?"
