1. Overview: Personal pronouns are words that replace nouns in a sentence. They help us avoid repeating names and make sentences easier to understand. There are two types: subject pronouns and object pronouns. Subject pronouns do the action (like 'I' and 'he'), and object pronouns receive the action (like 'me' and 'him'). 2. Subject Pronouns: - I - you (singular) - you (plural) - he - she - it - we - they Subject pronouns are used when the pronoun is the subject of the sentence. Example: I like coffee. Subject pronouns are used to introduce a new topic in conversation. Example: They are my friends. 3. Object Pronouns: - me - you (singular) - you (plural) - him - her - it - us - them Object pronouns are used when the pronoun is the object of the verb. Example: She sees me. Object pronouns can follow prepositions. Example: This gift is for you. 3. Exceptions or Things to Pay Attention To: Some pronouns, such as you or it, can function as both subject and object pronouns. Example: You are happy. (subject) Example: I see you. (object)
