Study this grammar rule.

1. Quite / Quite a/an Quite means fairly or to a medium degree. It is less strong than "very." Note: In British English, "quite" usually means "fairly", but in American English it can mean "very". This lesson is consistent with British English (BrE). Examples: That's quite interesting. (but not very interesting) It's quite difficult to find a job. Form: a) quite + adjective It's quite cold today. She is quite tired. b) quite a/an + adjective + noun That's quite a difficult test. He's quite an intelligent student. It's quite an expensive hobby. ⚠️ We use a/an when there is a singular countable noun. 2. Other modifiers with similar meaning We can also use: relatively, fairly, pretty, reasonably They have a similar meaning to "quite." Examples: This area is relatively cheap. He is fairly happy. My life is pretty good at the moment. The test was reasonably easy. 3. A bit more / A lot more / A lot less We use these to talk about small or large changes. a bit (more / less) → small change I'd like to travel a bit more. She wants to eat a bit less sugar. a lot (more / less) → big change He wants to study a lot more. She wants to spend a lot less money.
