Job Trends

Job Trends

This B1-level ESL lesson introduces vocabulary for modern workplace trends such as job hopping, quiet quitting, rage applying, quiet firing, career cushioning, overemployment, Bare Minimum Mondays, and quiet vacationing. Students begin with a discussion, then read a short text to practice skimming and inference. The lesson ends with a short speaking task where students discuss different opinions about one trend.
