Use "either...or" to present a choice between two options. For example, "You can have either coffee or tea." Use "neither...nor" to indicate that none of the options apply. For example, "I like neither coffee nor tea." Conditions: 1. "Either...or" is used with two positive choices. 2. "Neither...nor" is used with two negative choices. 3. The subjects following "either...or" and "neither...nor" should match in number (singular or plural). 4. When using "either...or" with two subjects, the verb agrees with the subject closest to it. For example, "Either the cat or the dogs are at the door." 5. For "neither...nor," the verb agrees with the subject closest to it as well. For example, "Neither the dogs nor the cat is at the door."
