Study this grammar rule.

The Second Conditional is used to talk about imaginary or unlikely situations. It often describes things that are not real or are difficult to happen. The structure is: If + subject + past simple verb, subject + would + base form of the verb. For example: - If I had a million dollars, I would buy a spaceship. - If she were a bird, she would fly. Conditions for using the Second Conditional: 1. Use "if" to start the sentence. 2. The verb after "if" should be in the past simple form (e.g., had, were). 3. Use "would" before the base form of the verb in the main clause (e.g., would go, would play). 4. Use "were" instead of "was" with all subjects (I, you, he, she, it, we, they) in the second part. Remember, this structure is for talking about things that are not real or unlikely to happen!
