Some verbs can be used in two ways: as transitive (with an object) and intransitive (without an object). When they change their meaning, they can express different actions depending on how they are used. 1. Speak - Transitive: "She spoke the truth." (She expressed the truth.) - Intransitive: "She spoke for an hour." (She talked for an hour.) 2. Set - Transitive: "He set the table." (He arranged the table.) - Intransitive: "The sun sets." (The sun goes down.) 3. Call - Transitive: "I called my friend." (I phoned my friend.) - Intransitive: "I'll call if I need help." (I'll contact you if necessary.) 4. Pass - Transitive: "He passed the ball." (He gave the ball to someone.) - Intransitive: "Time passes quickly." (Time goes by quickly.) 5. Try - Transitive: "I tried the cake." (I tasted the cake.) - Intransitive: "I'll try again." (I'll attempt again.) 6. Think** - Transitive: "She thinks the plan will work." (She believes the plan will work.) - Intransitive: "She thinks for a moment." (She contemplates for a moment.) 7. Move** - Transitive: "He moved the chair." (He changed the chair's position.) - Intransitive: "They move quickly." (They change position quickly.) 8. Sit - Transitive: "She sat the child on the chair." (She placed the child on the chair.) - Intransitive: "She sat down." (She took a seat.) 9. Feel - Transitive: "I feel the fabric." (I touch the fabric.) - Intransitive: "I feel good." (I have a good feeling.) 10. Run - Transitive: "He runs a business." (He manages a business.) - Intransitive: "He runs every morning." (He jogs every morning.) 11.
