We use “be” to ask about:

Structure:

Short Answers:

2. Yes/No Questions with “do / does”

We use do/does with action verbs (like eat, play, go, like).

Structure:

Do/Does + subject + base verb + … ?

Examples:

3. Does he eat apples?
4. Does she go to school?

Short Answers:

1. Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
2. Yes, they do. / No, they don’t.
