Adverbs of manner tell us how someone does something. They describe actions. Examples: fast slowly loudly carefully well happily Where Do Adverbs of Manner Go in a Sentence? 1. After the verb (most of the time): Subject + Verb + Adverb She sings happily. He runs fast. They work carefully. 2. After the object (sometimes): Subject + Verb + Object + Adverb He did his homework well. She read the book slowly. We played the game loudly.
