Study this grammar rule:

A non-defining relative clause gives extra information about a noun in a sentence but is not necessary to understand the main point. These clauses are set off by commas. To form a non-defining relative clause, use the relative pronouns "who," "whom," "whose" and "which". "That" is not typically used in non-defining clauses. Examples: - My brother, who lives in New York, is visiting us. (Extra information about "my brother.") - The book, which I borrowed from the library, is fascinating. (Extra information about "the book.") - The teacher, whom I met yesterday, is very kind. (Extra information about "the teacher.") - The girl, whose father is a doctor, is my neighbor. (Extra information about "the girl.")
